Some buildings are designed to stand tall. Others are designed to protect what’s around them. In the heart of Cirebon, we imagined a workplace that feels lighter, calmer, and more connected to the city. Inspired by the idea of “The Cloud,” this proposal explores how architecture can become a shelter, not only for activities inside, but also for the identity and rhythm of its surroundings. Soft curves, green open spaces, and flowing circulation were carefully shaped to create a more human-centered banking environment. A place where technology, nature, and local character meet in one continuous experience. This proposal reflects our belief that future architecture should not dominate the city, it should grow together with it.

BNI Pavilion IKN was never meant to be just another building. It began with a question: How do you design a space that carries the legacy of Indonesia’s first national bank while looking boldly toward the future? Alien Design Consultant answered it through a form that feels fluid, open, and connected to nature. Inspired by the spirit of the BNI identity itself, the architecture embraces curved lines, transparent layers, and flowing spaces that symbolize continuity, connectivity, and progress. Every gesture of the building responds to its surroundings. The contours of the land. The movement of water. The existing trees and landscape of Nusantara. Rather than dominating the site, the pavilion grows from it, creating a dialogue between architecture, nature, and human experience. Inside, the atmosphere is intentionally warm and human-centered. Expansive glass openings blur the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing natural light and greenery to become part of the spatial experience itself. More than a banking facility, BNI Pavilion IKN is envisioned as a symbol of transformation: where history, innovation, and the future of Indonesia meet in one continuous architectural narrative.

How do you imagine Batam? We imagine waking up to endless ocean horizons. Walking through vibrant waterfront streets. Watching the sunset from a marina that gently extends into the sea. Beachside was envisioned as a destination where every experience is shaped by the water. A place where architecture follows the coastline, public spaces invite connection, and nature becomes part of everyday life. Inspired by the concept of Soul of the Sea, this masterplan brings together residences, hospitality, leisure, and waterfront attractions into a single harmonious vision, creating not just a development, but a way of living. Because the best destinations are not simply built. They belong to their landscape.
